What types of candles do you sell?
The Corner Candleshop offers a variety of hand-poured fragranced candles made with quality ingredients. Our collection includes a wide range of scents designed to fit every season, mood, and space, from warm and cozy to fresh and uplifting. We pour tealights, wax melts, votives, tins, jars, and heirloom vintage mugs, planters and glassware.
Are your candles handmade?
Yes. Our candles are carefully handcrafted in small batches to ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail in every product.
What ingredients are used in your candles?
We use high-quality wax blends, premium fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. Our tealight, votive, and wax melts are made with a proprietary blend of a soy veggie paraffin wax. Our tins, jars, and containers are made of a coconut apricot wax. Each candle is made with care to provide a clean, even burn and long-lasting scent.
How long do your candles burn?
Burn time varies depending on the candle size, but most of our candles are designed to provide hours of enjoyment when burned properly and maintained according to care instructions. Tealights burn 4-5 hours. Votives burn 15-18 hours. Four ounce tins burn approximately 20 hours. Eight ounce tins burn approximately 45 hours. Nine ounce jar burns approximately 60 hours.
How should I care for my candle to get the best burn?
For best results, allow the wax to melt evenly across the top during each burn. When burning a votive candle, place a few drops of water in the bottom of the votive holder to allow for easier clean out. The snugger your votive container, the longer the burn. After the first burn of any size candle, keep the wick trimmed to 1/4”. Proper care helps extend the life of your candle and improves performance.
Do you offer seasonal or limited-edition scents?
Yes. We regularly release seasonal and limited-edition scents inspired by the time of year and customer favorites.
Are your candles safe for homes with pets or children?
Yes. While our candles are made with quality ingredients, we recommend always burning candles responsibly, keeping them out of reach of children and pets, and never leaving a candle unattended.
Do you offer gift options?
Our candles make great gifts for birthdays, hostess gifts, weddings, holidays, special occasions, or just because. We offer gift tubes for a unique way to package up either 3 or 6 votives. We offer a gift box that contains 4 votives and a votive holder. The gift is packaged ready to go with a bag, tissue, and matches. Many customers choose our products for thoughtful and unique gifting.
